ACT uses tabs to access certain types of information (such as notes and activities), and by default ACT makes the text black and the background white on these tabs. I often suggest that my clients change the colors so that it’s easier to recognize which tab is selected simply by observing the background color. Here is how you do it:
ACT 2005 | 2006 | 2007 | 2008 | 2009: Select Tools | Preferences | Colors & Fonts Tab| and you can customize all of the options listed on the left hand side.
Select Edit | Preferences | Colors & Fonts Tab | and you can customize all of the options listed on the left hand side.
Note: I would also recommend that you select the option called show grid lines.
Thank you, this helps me out. Is it appropriate to ask a question?
I want to change the colors within the lookup by example window. Is that possible?
Sincerely,
Austin

All of a sudden on my ACT 2007 the top line has a black background as does the headings such as file, edit, view etc. I can not see them against the black background but when I run my curser over them they are grey and I can see them. How do I change the back ground color on that top section?
Hey, guys. I’m using tab table. and somehow the tab is locked in the WRONG POSSITION and not able to get moved, even clicked for access when it’s play. And when I’m edit the tab with tab properties and moving the tab into right order, saving, and play again. Bum ! it’s still in the same position. Please help me. Coz I need to get it done for my work as quick as possible (ASAP).
My question is I want to be able to change the font size in the “scheduled activity window” (when I’m putting my note/details in and closing the scheduled activity) the font size is 8. I have gone to tool, preferences, and change all the items in the left hand box to 10 font size, but the window for putting in the “details” stays at 8
How do I change the size to something I can read from a short distance.
Thanks for your help in advance! Scott
