I think a lot of people feel that way about Twitter, Tony -- the volume can be overwhelming! I have a little bit different take on it.

Twitter's a stream. It's always running, and when I have time, I dip in my toe. If somebody is targeting me with a tweet, they use my @ handle, and it is flagged so I see it & can respond. Otherwise, I scan what's there, click links that look interesting/useful, and move along. I don't have the expectation when I tweet from my personal account that _anybody_ will read it... so when they respond, or retweet, what I have to say, it's always a pleasant surprise.

On a professional level it's a great tool - I tweet as @cuttertweets to grow brand awareness, to drive folks to content on our blog & website, and to build relationships with folks in our industry, and it's been really effective.

Just my .02! Keep up the great work on the blog, it's a useful resource!

I have heard them consistently from people i know in support and they do agree with my own on-line support efforts. It does surprise me that Sage never state these publicly (maybe fear of upsetting Microsoft?) - but they have agreed with my posts on-line when I have stated them

Remember, this is not the "how do I do this" type questions or the types that need training, but the "this doesn't work" questions.

It was in the 80s till ACT! 2008 10.02 where Sage started finding workarounds for some of the issues and Microsoft upgrades started fixing some of their bugs.

These figures may have been reduced with ACT! 2011 and 2012 which added some improvements in the install - like rebooting after a .Net or Win Installer install (if these were needed)

Hi Tony,
I found your site the other day, and have looked at three tutorials so far, and learned something new on each. I have been with XP since 2000 now still with 2003. An Englishman now in Australia; age 67. I am a member of a computer club that is for help and problem sorting on line via email, with suggestions to look via the WWW. I was considering sharing your site with them; but wondered if you wanted to contact them yourself with full information that may be beneficial.
www.retiredonline.com.au will give their website.
Regards,
Colin Pernet
